If number 6 didn't get purchased, I'll get it as a third mushroom (two reserve units + 1 garage tool) for my deep parts stock.

Sorry for the delay, folks. #6 is pending sale from international buyer. We were working out shipping arrangements, ended up going with a freight forwarder. Payment should be received in the next few days, I will update again once it's all finalized...

UPDATE: #6 is sold.

You're SOL, @nocfn! I'll sell you one of my mushrooms, but it will be $300.

I wonder who the W124 nerd was who bought the hub-puller slide hammer and the rear wheel bearing puller tool.

Dave,
I'll just let you know that the 38 pin mushroom and the subframe bushing tool arrived last week, and all parts was exactly as described. The packing was really good - the mushroom tool made of plastic and alu. could easily been damaged by the sturdy bushing tool of steel, so kudos to you for the packing. The tools comes nicely along with some other tools I've scored from you over the years as well, have to prepare another box for them too.

The Miller 9113 Rear Diff Mount tool is the only one that is still currently unsold, correct?

Thanks for confirming, Arnt! I was really nervous putting such a heavy tool next to a fragile item, so I did everything I could to try and make sure the package would arrive intact. Glad it made the trip safely. And your tool storage is amazing - wow!

Correct. This tool is the last item available.

These large V8 differential mount bushings are not common failures. MB radically upgraded the V8 bushing compared to the stupid-small 4/5/6-cyl bushings. The "little" bushings are a very common failure. But I do wonder if old V8 bushings may have hardened over 30 years and could contribute to driveline vibration. Next diff I have out I plan to swap these suckers.

.....
Well, those tool boxes may appear a bit nerdy, but I don't have any tool cabinet so this was an alternative to store these tools. The special tools are in fact not used that often either, so the boxes keeps them clean and sorted, and it's pretty handy to carry on whenever needed. The red box at right was originally for the BAUM squeek bushing tool, and the other box can be found in various sizes at any hardware/freight store, the foam as well. So it's just an entertaining cut & arrange job. I have another two boxes for the wrenches and pliers, not as organized as the special toolboxes, but that became a great improvement for the wrenching. Made it simpler and faster to pick the right tool compared to digging around in the huge toolbox. For smaller fixes on the cars, bicycles, house... I load a small handy toolbox with the needed tools instead of dragging around the ship anchor heavy toolbox.

..just my "2ool" cents :banana1:

I've got two of them sitting here, but at $6.00 apiece from MB new, it's hardly worth the effort to send them in the mail.

CRT warmed up. :D

Louis, if you are serious, it's yours... can include the requisite gray door switch as well. You've got my email...
