Hi guys!
I noticed from cold start today the auxiliary fans came on prematurely, barely any engine temp. They stayed on for about 30seconds then switched off. And when I drove off, still below 40c, they came on again, this time for about 1minute.
When I arrived at my destination (after around 8miles) the temp gauge was reading just above 80. I sat, let it idle and waited for the temp to reach in the 90's (bare in mind ambient temp here is only 5c so it was struggling to reach this) to see if the fans would activate and in which point they did! And as normal, the temp dropped to 80 and the fans shut off.
Any ideas why they would come on when the engine still cold? Busted sensor or switch??
