Hello Gents,

This is so COOL!

An E36 convertible on the Nurburgring track. Looks like Ofgear TCM 5 speed 722.6 shifts fast as a manual with steering wheel paddles.

This gives me a good idea of how my C36 would do on the Nurburgring.

Man, that M104 3.6 motor is HEAVEN!!!

I don't often watch videos at normal speed, or all the way through. This was an exception. Very cool stuff. Neat car too... nice that the owner didn't inflate power claims, his estimate of 280-300hp from the modified 3.6 is likely accurate. Wish there was more details about the suspension - stock? modified? Etc. Pretty sure the brakes are "Silver Arrow" from the R129 SL600 V12. Bummer about the awful speedometer action, and the aftermarket 722.6 controller refusing to downshift when commanded. Assuming the E220 cabrio likely has the slowest/stock steering box, I bet an upgrade to fastest ratio box would help. Again, not sure if that was modified or not.

Also. I didn't recognize the driver, but watching him on the 'Ring, I was like "holy crap - this dude isn't just freaking good... he's AMAZING. He kinda looks and sounds like Misha. He's chatting away at Warp 9 like it's nothing." Then at the end I realise IT IS Misha! LOLOL. Well, that explains a lot! (Too early, caffeine hadn't kicked in yet.)

Someone needs to get Misha on the 'Ring driving a prepped 036 with a 6L engine, big brakes, and race rubber. :gor-gor:

It’s an awesome video! Great upgrades! I noticed that the upshifts were pretty quick but rarely hit redline. I was wondering if that was his driving or just an adjustment.

@yao500e, Thanks for posting. :thumbsup2:

hello @gsxr I agree! i was memorized and watched the entire video! Totally agree that roughly 290hp is very accurate. Its nice to see that 290hp in modern 2025 times still can feel fast and fun! this car weight around 3,800 lbs so seeing it zip around nurburgring is really cool.

Yes, pitty how the ofgear didnt 'kickdown' shift properly. There is a specific feature in the ofgear operating system to specifically program kickdown at certain throttle position, KM speed. This really makes me think....ready?

Would a nicely working, totally clean and functioning 722.3 transmission work NEARLY as well? vacuum modulator working perfecting and bowden cable adjusted perfectly as well.

It takes a lot of work fitting in a M104 into a 4 cyl c124 body. I am curious about how he did the stock ECU with the C36 ECU as well as other sensors for ABS, etc. It doesnt have ASR so thats a good thing for the swap.

Yes! Misha is a professiona nurburgring driver.

totally agree on great upshifts. but too bad on the kickdown downshifts. I think Misha is a good driver! haha
