If anyone has x4 standard center caps that came with 500E's standard 16 inch 8-hole painted wheels in near new condition, it'd be my pleasure to take them off your hands. They are $17/each new from getmercedesparts.com and I was going to buy them, but I figured some of you might have them chafing your storage space and I could help you get rid of them and save a few $ myself.

Ähmm does it have to be OEM? You´ll have to repaint them to fit your Rims....

I think he means that there are plenty of aftermarket versions on ebay cheaper. But sometimes the paint colour isn't an exact OEM match.

For this reason when getting wheels refurbished I buy new centre caps with chrome stars from fleabay. Then remove the stars and flat back the centre caps. Then have the wheel dude spray the new centre caps when doing the wheels. Simples and 100% perfect match.

For you I think you are best to just buy genine new ones to go with your new wheels it's not alot of $$

Exactly what i mean. Who knows how old is paint on your wheels and where it came from? Who knows how old those OEM or not OEM Cups are and how they were storaged? (talking of colour fading of course). So in Germany it is a good taste to paint rims together with cups. Specialy silver paint, you see every so small difference....

@JC220 and @036 - I haven't thought that deep about the center caps, but what you are saying makes sense. Instead of sending money to MB, I figured I'll might send them to our forum colleagues for the stuff that don't need. Captruff and 2phast are already sending me their "near new" caps. Either set should be - in my context - adequate enough for my DD 400E
