Center Console Roll-top Cover Repair

Has anyone tried to re-attach the slats on one of these roll-top covers? I went to open it a few days ago and all the slats slid right off. I can't tell if they were originally glued in or are they just retained by the frame. The all seem to be bowed in a concave position.

That's the veneer.... you'll need to send that out for refurbishment. I'd send all the pieces in your center console stack as a min so they match.

I suspect they got wet at one point or you live where there are brutal temp swings.

Thanks. We did have a few nights recently where it got down to 28 F (brrr!). Actually both cars could use refurbishment of the center console (around gear shift lever). Any recommended shops to do this?

Do all the pieces...tambor, gear shift, ashtray and klima...it will Never match otherwise...no matter how good the others look

Madera Concepts.

A forum member was nice enough to sell me one of his spares that matched perfectly, and it looks brand new. Thanks Drew!

The German engineering in these cars never ceases to amaze me, just seeing how they designed this sliding door and how easy it was to replace. I wonder if Lexus copied that design too.
