500E Certificate of Conformity/Manufacturer Letter (from MB) regarding US Emissions

Hi all,

Still working on my registration in CA for my grey-market 500E.

Wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations / thoughts on who to reach out to in regards to getting a letter on MB letterhead stating that the car meets US emissions standards?

I'd like to be able to send this to CA DMV's technical compliance department to finalize the registration.

Curious if anyone has had any success with getting a letter from MB specifically.

Thanks in advance

Should not be required for a car over 25 years old.
Thought the same thing but the ever-friendly state of CA requires door/engine stickers and subsequently - CARB compliance - if those stickers aren't found... which given my car's import status, they never existed.

Mainly curious if I can get a general 'compliance' letter from MB and I can provide to CA DMV to see what they say.

Open to other creative solutions...
