Greg, per discussions some years ago it is satin equal to 40-50% semi-gloss, either it is one-stage or dual-stage coating. In some cases it is applied a satin clearcoat on top of the color layer, which to my understanding gives a more durable coating as it is thicker - but I am not any coating expert.

It will be done this way as it is more durable then just acrylic paint. Less prone to sun fade etc.
