Clarification of function 0095420817 oil pressure &? temperature? sender

I came across a dual pin oil pressure sender unit which is referenced in non mb parts catalogues as a pressure/temperature sender fitted on a couple of M104/M119 R129 & W140 cars.
I am not aware of a temperature gauge on these cars but it was maybe a monitoring function?

Can anyone clarify?

Looks like this was used in the 140 and 129 chassis. Any chance the other pin is a low oil pressure warning of some sort?

Temperature output would be amazing but I'd be really surprised if there was a temp sensor in there.
