Hi,
The instrument cluster on my 500e needs a cleaning:)
Does anyone on the forum know how to disassemble the instrument housing?
I want to access and clean properly.
I would also like to remove the plexiglass, and also change this to a new one.
Is it possible to buy new plexiglass?
Check the pictures

Best Regards
Niklas

I have done this on my 500E, after I disassembled all components, I washed the empty case without removing the plexiglass with warm water and soap several times and it came out nice.

Thanks for reply,
But is it possible to remove the plexiglass?
Some one don that?
I have done it on a W126 instrument cluster, to refurbish the cluster to cure it from the "Dreaded Dot Disease." It takes extreme caution and indeed it is a good idea to have a spare cluster in case you break or ruin something.

More here.

And here.
