CLK-DTM in the EPC

Hi Everyone,

This is very specific and I appreciate any input. The CLK-DTM has some interesting technical upgrades compared to the conventional M113K equipped cars. These cars had CLK200 VIN numbers and entering the VIN into EPC will retrieve the parts catalogue for the CLK200 Base car !

Here is an example of a CLK-DTM vin: WDB2093421F166034

If someone can retrieve data on the DTM specific parts it would really help with tuning the M113K.

Thanks in Advance

Maybe it's in here? CLK DTM AMG Pressinformation 4-2004 (E)

Otherwise contact HWA.
Thank you for the link @weide1 , the press release naturally does not provide part numbers, but it provided important information which indicated different internal components:

- 585 PS and 800NM, I think the conventional M113K had a flatter torque curve.
- The higher compression ratio is similar to the 5.5BT engines, conventional M113K have 9:0 compression (safer).
- Forged pistons and crankshaft
- Max RPM is 7000 RPM
- 0.85 Bar of boost compared to 0.80 Bar. Updated Supercharger and snout
- Cool Eisenmann valve controlled tube shaped silencers, but connected to a single exhaust pipe with a T-connector .... this looks like a weak point : /
- Larger HE, might be similar to the S55 and 5.5BT cars
- Rear diff ratio is 3.06 ! very short compared to the 2.65 on the S55/CL55
- Weight is 1745 KG
- Oil temp Gauge

Overall performance is impressive: 0-100 in 3.9sec, 100-200 in about 7sec, Top speed of 320 KM/H.

I would like to see the exhaust manifolds and supercharger assembly or their part numbers. The standards pistons and crankshaft can take the load but I think HWA wanted to change the engine characteristics for CS racing ( e.g faster revving and more endurance at high RPM? )

In contrast to the CLK-DTM, the SLR has a different approach to the M113K.

The SLR uses a dry-sump version known as the M155, here are a few numbers:

- 626 PS and 780NM. Flat torque curve compared to the CLK-DTM
- A slightly Lower compression ratio (8.8:0), conventional M113K have 9:0 compression
- Max RPM is 7000 RPM
- Cool intake system, air is drawn through the Mercedes star in the hood/bumper.
- 2 Top mounted inter-coolers, compared to the bottom mounted intercooler used in the M113K.
- No figures for boost or how the compressor differs from the M113K, safe to assume it had higher boost levels than the CLK-DTM
- Rear diff ratio is 3.06 ! very short compared to the 2.65 on the S55/CL55
- Weight is 1768 KG , heavier than the CLK-DTM.

Overall performance is very impressive: 0-100 in 3.8sec, 100-200 in about 6.8sec, Top speed of 334 KM/H.

3.06 ratio is IMO too high for long distance driving. 120km/h at around 2700RPM.
