Hello,

For my collection i'm in the search for a

Brabus E V12 7.3S w124

Does anyone know where i can find one or give me tips where to look?

Every other brabus or pre-merger amg is also welcome. Please let me know what you can offer. I want to pay a fair and right price.

Kind Regards
Rens

The only W124 Brabus V12 that we know of is in the Netherlands! Prof.Gauffries (Brabus CTO) mentioned that 3 cars were built, but only the dutch car was ever seen. Its based on a 1991 500E, restored twice.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know if it's stil in the netherlands?

As far as iknow yes, still there, and not for sale.
But....questions are gratis, try.

If you want the driving experience and not a museum exhibit, it might be easier & cheaper to just build one, than buy one of the original 3?

:spend:

I think the car is still in the Netherlands. BTW I tried the site you mentioned and its not really accurate.
The question is, are you aware of the amount to be offered for this car?

I don't think "fair and right price" has much to do with an agreement between buyer and seller, especially when only 3 cars were produced.

Ask Bernard Marijanovic. He is on fb. Or ask the guy that made these posts.

330kph / 205mph vMax? I seriously doubt it... unless there's video of the run showing GPS speed readings, that didn't happen. Maybe it has a 330kph speedometer, lol.

:ROFLMAO:

My best guess would be to contact Elite Motors in Kaunas, Lithuania.
I believe they own this one too.

If you try to find in google DZTG44 you will find same car with same symbols on license plate, but registration in Lithuania. not sure is that actual for now, but yes, this car has been register in Lithuania.

There is also a Väth V12, also called Löwer 7,2 ..... Brabus V12 is not alone out there.
And we know exactly where it is. It´s not for sale, but we never know...

@036 if I'm not wrong this is the same car I checked out a bit in 2009 and posted here;
'93 500E Väth V12 | Cars for Sale - 500E / E500 ONLY

At that time it was for sale at a regular car dealer selling small pedestrian cars, wagons, pickups, tractors... a pretty odd place to find such a car. According to member @Christian_K it was build by Löwer-Benz and Väth supplied the engine. I have some pics of it, even the Väth engine number, I'll post them tomorrow.

According to Prof Gauffies, these were really unbalanced cars and difficult to handle. He says braking was a problem as the frontend was too heavy. The Dutch car was the first made, its is already overhauled 3 times and restored twice with new interior.

Yes you can stuff a V12 in a W124... but its not the best idea, the car is too nose heavy, no space for fingers in the engine bay and the cooling/oiling capability is very limited.

A M120 is best suited in a W140, a robust engine that can take a lot of abuse. Drove one twice without coolant ! :D

Plus elevntybillion: ^^^

In addition, there is no space for the radiator+condenser+fans. At least one of the conversions had the condenser relocated roughly behind the fog lights (split into twin condensers, I think). This allowed a bit of room to push the radiator forward. Ideally you'd try to move the M120 backwards into the firewall but there will be different limits there.

I'd prefer to see an M159/M159 conversion, or supercharged M119, or something along those lines capable of ±600bhp. It may not sound as pretty as a V12 but the overall performance, cost, and reliability should be improved. Edit: A supercharged M113 would also work nicely!

@jhodg5ck - any comments on this endeavor?

I really wanted to squeeze the M159 from the SLS into my 3D model at first but I couldn't figure out how so I went with M119 instead and figure out later when I got all the parts done. To keep in mind that handling and weight distribution is important.

Well, thats a long stretch and planning but just an idea to have it super rare :)
