E500E AMG muffler on Ebay

Found this muffler on Ebay

Is it the "real thing" or an AMG part made in Japan? Would the E60 have a similar muffler? To me it looks like a stock muffler with AMG tips welded on.

The last picture explains it, its a Japanese part. AMG mufflers were not made for the 124036.

Yep, it's AMG Japan. I have always assumed the internals were the same, and they just added square tips along with a tacked-on part number plate. Neat item though.
