Yes, to me looks legit. Restamped closed deck block probably (mb serial nbr - strange is only the 60 behind the 12), amg stamping on the backside looks fine. That engine is just a few units ahead of when mine was built. Should be in 94.

This was discussed recently and I think consensus was the AMG stamp on the rear may be legit.
The question came up because at some point AMG started stamping the front of the block instead of the rear. What we don't know (yet) is when exactly AMG switched from rear to front.
That said, I don't recall ever seeing a random "60" stamp up front by the MB engine serial. Engine #9401 would have been open-deck block. It appears the serial area was ground off and those are new numbers stamped in place, likely to match the original #9401. No way to know if the "60" was stamped at the same time or someone added that later, post-delivery.
