Electric car real cost comparision

I say good luck to that. I see NUMEROUS people on their phones every day when driving, whether here in Maryland, Virginia, DC, California, Massachusetts, and wherever else I go. Despite all of these places having laws against it. Generally speaking, I'd say that AT LEAST 20-25% of all drivers I see (that I bother to look at) are either using handheld cell phone (5-10%) or using hands-free in their car. Even I Europe I see this sometimes, but much less frequently than I do in the US.

As of the time I moved to Maryland (October 2017) having a hand-held cell phone was still legal in the state of Texas, though I don't know if that's changed since I left.

I tried to fight it in the State Legislature back in the day.
The phone companies had way too many $$$ to overcome ergo the results we see today.
