I'm wondering if someone can give me some advice. I have a 1994 500E Mercedes I'm having a problem
when I drive my car It drives for about 15-20 mins & all of sudden it just shut off and won't start up until the
engine cools off never happen before until I didn't drive it for about a month.

Please Help
Thanks

Definitely sounds like the crank position sensor. You can test this by taking the end of it off the EZL and testing it with a VOM, should read somewhere in the range of 800-850 kohms. Then run your car in place, if it heats up enough, it should just shut off. When it does, pull the crank position sensor off the EZL and test again, if its defective, you won't get any reading at all on your VOM.

I had the same problem. Moisture in the distributor caps (Bremi). I replaced them with Bosch and also the back seal. Problem gone.
Same issue on my 420 but had Bosh caps and replaced them with Bremi's. Swapped the caps/rotors and dried the insulators on the inside problem never returned.

So are bremi caps better than Bosch ?? I’m still new to cars and what not wasn’t really into cars until I saw my 420 it was crashed by my uncles but I’ve done my best to revive the car got it running but still has a long way to go

The best caps are Beru but are also the most expensive. MB sells them but others sell them for less. Someone here can chime in on the part numbers and where to get the best deal.

Bremi is not the OEM for any M119 ignition parts. The OEM's are Bosch for caps, Doduco for rotors, and either Bosch (orange) or Doduco (black) for insulators. I personally wouldn't use Bremi parts but that's just me.

Doduco rotors are the best, without question, IMO. Insulators, the only option is Bosch.

People have reported various issues with ALL the different caps (Bosch, Beru, Bremi). I personally like Beru because they have the clearcoat applied inside, and I've encountered a defective new-in-box Bosch, but would use Bosch if I couldn't find Beru. Add the venting slots to caps as described in other threads on the forum.

:shocking:

Thanks for the reply and Dave I’ll take your word for it I’ve seen you reply in pretty much every post I’ve seen on here, but I’d like to introduce myself my names Jose I’m 19 from USA and I have a 95 420 witch was crashed but I’ve been fixing it up
