Exhaust manifolds - cast iron?

99% certain our exhaust manifolds are cast iron. Could be a blend of some sort, but no stainless steel that I'm aware of. I believe the main catalyst pipe & crossover pipe are stainless of some sort because they never rusts (unlike the resonator and muffler, which do rust out).

Ok, good to know. The reason for my inquiry is I had a coolant leak that resulted in the coolant collecting on top of the exhaust manifold pipes and it hardened. And although it’s just calcium deposits from a coolant, don’t know if that might eat through the metal if not removed.

Ah, got it. Just scrape off the residue if it bothers you. Shouldn't eat through the metal or cause any other damage.
