I just finished this mirror for a customer and have been seeing a increase in interest in this design. It's substantially more expensive, so its not something I have really been advertising but wanted to get some feedback from everyone.

Can build these for $300 plus shipping, assuming cores can be located at a reasonable price. Right now cost is all over the place and it eats up a ton of time trying to track these down. This would be only for the W124 or W201.

Rik, that was really nice! :thumbsup2:
I have a low resistance against nice mods & options like that, so I already have one foot on your list.

I have also been pondering about adapting an electric rear view mirror w/memory from a R129 or W140. The mini sunvisor may have to come off, but the mirror itself is also larger. The stalk has to be replaced, the control box as well, a lot of wiring, a pretty demanding task vs. ROI, I know, I know...

I have one of these built, tested and ready to ship. You will need to modify your metal mounting base just a bit, as there are two wiring looms coming out the top and these should not get pinched against the spring during installation.
