Hello,

Time for new floor mats... been researching the posts here and decided to get Lloyd Mats for the 500E.

Issue is that when I go through the configuration screens to order the mats (on any of their distributors websites) comes up with the following description:

Mat: Ultimat 4 Pc Car Mat Set ( Fits Long Wheelbase Only )
Mat Color: 100 Black (100)

$124.90

UM1|3574290|401||100||||||||

I am pretty certain that MB only made 500E's with one wheelbase.....

A 300E generates a different number on the web configuration:

1992 Mercedes-Benz 300E
Feature: All Other Models
Mat: Ultimat 4 Pc Car Mat Set
Mat Color: 100 Black (100) $124.90
UM1|3574240|401||100||||||||

The 400E gives the same number as a 500E and indicates a LWB also....

I emailed Lloyd customer service and got an answer to a different question first & then they regurgitated the web configuration that said long wheel base...

Does anyone know what is up here or have recently ordered Lloyd mats and has the part number that fit?

Thanks!

TB

I ordered Lloyds mats for my 500E from Darin .... proprietor of http://fdmotorsports.net two months ago. I am a repeat customer ... I just emailed Darin and asked for a couple of color samples .... he got Lloyds to send them to me ... then I ordered the mats over email, and I got the mats within a week. Perfect fit.

Have used Coco mats for my own cars for years and never had a problem, always perfect fit.

I have coco mats installed in my SEC, E500 and G-wagen. The G mats being a custom shape/design of my own making.

Generally speaking, coco mats are the last mats one would ever need to buy for their vehicle.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the input - clearly the Coco Mats are the best... Have not moved forward yet - got distracted by an SLS issue with the 500E.
Need to figure that out first!

Coco mats are not for me but to each his own. It’s whatever floats your personal boat.

Myself, I like the OE mats. They are not as good as they used to be but still look nice. I think you can still buy from Mercedes or at least aftermarket. My set a few years ago cost around $100.00 aftermarket.

In my car only the driver side mat takes the beating. I keep it in shape by using the old rear mat on top of it until I want to show it.

Thanks. Cocomats are what I have but I couldn't remember the name. They're holding up fine except for the drivers side which had some unusual wear. I'm a little worried that it could be rodent chew.

Check out the cocomat 'nylon 6.6' series. It looks luxurious, is super durable and stays looking new.
