FOR SALE: 1995 W124 / E320 leather steering wheel

I am selling the original equipment steering wheel from my wife's 1995 E320 wagon. This is the large diameter non-Sportline wheel and is made for a standard airbag.

I replaced this wheel with another one I got from a car in Belgium, so I retrofitted the Euro "guts" (which is the round contact ring) to the E320 wheel. The guts are dated March of 1994 so they are of the same time frame as the E320 wheel. The guts are intended for earlier cars with the contact rings, although it's easy to (as I did) retrofit "later" steering wheel guts onto an earlier wheel. Just a few Torx bolts and such to do the job, takes about 20 minutes.

2Phast can comment on this process if necessary as he knows what years of 124s had contact rings and whatnot.

The condition of this wheel: it's rough and flaky on the left upper side and top of the wheel. It can definitely be rehabbed/refurbished, particularly with a Leatherique steering wheel kit (which I think is about $20-30 for everything).

I am willing to let this wheel go for $20 + shipping cost. I think that's a fair price as it's other than the flaking in great condition. It DOES NOT come with the airbag. I would expect shipping via Priority Mail would be around USD $20, give or take. If you wanted it regular parcel post, I'd be happy to ship it that way too, but I usually prefer to ship Priority Mail.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested. If I don't hear anything back in the next couple of weeks I'll plan to put the wheel up on eBay. Photos are attached.

Cheers,
Gerry

Gerry, just to clarify - you installed the contact ring (shown in last photo) to the wheel you are selling, so you are selling the wheel+contact ring together...? Or separately?

:)

Yes, the wheel + contact ring are sold together. It also includes the horn setup, etc. as shown installed in the wheel.
