Re: FS: 1991 500E, Pajett Red/Black, 123k km, Auction (UAE)

HOLY CRAP. This is one of the very first 036's ever produced!

Build date August 1990, engine #000023 (yes, #23 sequentially).

https://www.datamb.com/vin/RBNljdnrN04dobpO8

It has a facelift and seems to be fresh paint. Hopefully the facelift was not due to an accident. It has few options besides heated seats, passenger memory seat, and fire extinguisher... very short option code list.

Super neat car. Gerry, do you know how many VIN's were sequentially earlier than this one?

:jono:

The inspection report is chilling.

That car is pretty tired or call it dead. Just as per the picture there is something wrong at the rear end and the front end was hit too. Leather is hard and broken, all wood bleached out and as the engine bay looks I know how the rest will look like. Certainty loads of body filler on the panels etc pp. Conditions like this are very common in the middle east region.

The Cluster is very yellowed. Seems to be a smoker car. Oil control lamp is on and the oil pressure is not good at this state of engine temperature. There is water on the ECU Cover and Fuse covers from carwash. Maybe a bad Hood sealing.

It may be this car years ago?
