How much was he expecting?!
Apparently he was expecting $50k.

Note the headlights/lenses are both LHT (Japan/UK), driver side lens is E500 (facelift 036), passenger side is standard pre-facelift non-036. The headlight type should match the bumper light type; I can't tell from the photos which type is in the bumper... if original AMG driving lights in the bumper, with 036 headlights the car would have 6 high beams and zero fogs.

1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E36 AMG W-124 | eBay <-- eBay dealer classified ad, $50k/ OBO.

1995 Mercedes Benz E36 AMG Wagon Estate
RMC Miami is proud to offer this W124 AMG Wagon for your consideration.
Built in Ravensburg Germany this ultra rare 1 of 170 AMG wagons is the last year w124 and is finished in brilliant silver metallic, the mostly original paint shows nicely. There is no major dings dents or scratches on the body and the lines are incredibly straight. Odometer shows 113,479 Kilometers which equates to just above 70k Miles. The overall condition of the car is very original and clean with very minor wear. The car sits very nicely on AMG suspension which gives it the perfect euro height. The AMG aero compliments the AMG Aero wheels very nicely and gives it an aggressive stance.
The interior is stunning, you open any of the 4 doors and you see an elegant black leather interior with gorgeous AMG door sills and the original wood trims. Steering wheel is thicker than stock with gorgeous wood trim and feels amazing in your hand while driving. The Sport Seats show almost no wear and look amazing. Center armrest is showing some wear and there is minor cracking (common) on the center console wood trim. Air conditioning works great and is ice cold. All windows function as they should as well as the power sunroof. All pedals are AMG stamped and are in good shape. The car also maintains the 3rd row seat which flips up and down with room to place your feet.
Engine and transmission are matching numbers. The AMG 3.6 M104 was rated at 276 hp (206 kW; 280 PS) at 5,750 rpm and 284 lb⋅ft (385 N⋅m) of torque at 4,000 rpm using the HFM engine management system. Bore and stroke is 91 mm × 92.4 mm (3.58 in × 3.64 in) with a compression ratio of 10.5. AMG later conceded that since the engine was hand modified, power outputs could vary slightly from 276 to 287 hp (206 to 214 kW; 280 to 291 PS).. A larger intake crossover pipe, free-flowing exhaust, a unique intake camshaft, minor changes to the cylinder head, and modifications to the HFM fuel computer also contribute to the increase in power.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of AMG history. The car is turn key and drives awesome.

Good candidate for @jhodg5ck I'm sure he'll have some time after he finishes with my car.

Pedals...?
Fake AMG items.

Wheels are incorrect for that model car, it would of came with 17" AMG monoblocks. The wheels on the car look like Gen 1 copies.
Steering wheel is also incorrect for that vehicle, although its a nice wheel for sure. Shift knob is also not original

I can't tell for certain but the driver headlight looks funny inside, like there is corrosion on small areas of the reflectors. Not a big deal since the headlights should be replaced with standard 124 facelift lights anyway, which are available new or used... but with a $50k ask, the dealer would have been smart to install new lights before doing the photo shoot.

:124:

Nice looking Estate , the ad says its a real AMG 3.6... ?
Ricaro seats and Aero I's... nice color combo

Oops, I didn't search vin, and now I see it's a;ready posted from March, on craigs list now, same guys selling same price

BTW, do any of the AMG experts know why some 3.6L M104 have "3.6" on the intake crossover pipe, and others do not? Did this vary by model year, chassis, or something else?

Random Google photo of another E36:

There are several reasons.

1st would be that the original 3.6l intake was damaged and needed to be replaced. Either the owner did not care if it was a 3.6 and purchased a easily available standard crossover pipe from a wrecker

2nd is that the crossover pipe needed to be replaced and the 3.6l pipe is NLA, so the standard is the only option

3rd. Some cars that have the 3.6l motor, due to the situation in the engine bay, the 3.6l pipe is too tall and rubs against the hood liner, so the standard intake is used. This can be seen in the factory AMG lit that shows the W124 for model year 1993. Same AMG lit shows the C36 engine with correct 3.6l crossover pipe. 1994/1995 W124 did have the 3.6l crossover. Although I have not examined both hoods closely, either there is a difference in how the pre face lift and post face lift hoods are designed, or the hood liner was changed for model year 1994, making the use of the 3.6l crossover pipe doable

Also, as a side note. While the W201 never received the 3.6l M104, if you transplant one into a 190E, the 3.6l crossover pipe also impacts the hood, so the standard crossover pipe is needed.
