I would be super interested, but don’t want to have to glue these to the bumper. I believe the ones that E500Star makes require that. Not sure if you can make them without having to glue them?how many of you guys are interested ? If there are enough orders I'll be able to do that to almost any small nla parts.
I would be interested in a set as spares, but only if they are exact replicas of the factory units (no glue). I would think if you did 20-30 pairs, you would have takers for many if not most of them, and would be able to sell any remaining ones over time.
Many owners of the E500E don't even know their cars are missing them !!!

In addition to what Gerry said, if the rear bumper has ever been removed, these inserts generally come out prior to removal... and then are either not installed properly as described above, or the shop "forgets" to re-install them (similar to how engine splash/sound panels vanish after a trip to an indy).Dumb q - why is there SO MUCH INTEREST in these? I’d like to give it a try and buy a couple of sets if you decide to make them.I took out the part and it can be done but it can't be a 1 piece part. the face of the part will be printed then I can add 2 clamp shape pieces to back of the part for holding it on the bumper. the problem is you need a good force to install the original part in the place and 3d printed part can't take that force so it has to go there a lot smother otherwise it will break. also 3d printed part won't be as durable as oem part if any rocks hitting it will break. the only way of making it durable is injection molding which is expensive.

I am currently in Japan and have ordered two sets. We'll see if that actually works, since I am staying at a Hotel and not a residential address and will be here only until Thanksgiving.
The website is interesting, as it has some parts that are (as far as I know) NLA (e.g. front grille insert and an E60 front sway bar - PN 1243230165 to name a few). Pricing levels are crazy though - an orange front turn signal is running at $200 if you factor in transport and tax.....
I will keep you posted. They got back to me today and said the parts will be delivered tomorrow. Note though that they told me that they don't ship outside of Japan, so you will have to have a Japanese delivery address. Also note that say this is "pay on receipt" only, so you can't pay them online. EDIT: Seems like they are accepting credit card and shipping to addresses outside of Japan, as another member was successful with it after I purchased minePls let us know.... if it works I'll get a set as well.....
The parts were delivered as promised today and they are indeed OEM parts.
Hmm, not what the confirmation email said.The Kanji "社外製" on the item description translates roughly to "aftermarket made" or made by an outside company. They're not OEM but still appear to be a high quality reproduction.

Good job, 036. I ordered a couple of pairs of these a couple of months ago. They are not OEM and are not as thick as the OEM pieces. However, at a cursory glance, they seem to fit. My car has been in the shop, and I have not had a chance yet to test them. They are made of a hard ABS type plastic.Yes. Pair. OEM. =))
I never followed up on this post. I installed the Japanese aftermarket gap cover that I had bought in Tokyo and the part fits really well without any adjustments. Drove about 500 miles since installation and so far it’s still thereI will keep you posted. They got back to me today and said the parts will be delivered tomorrow. Data for this resource has been compiled continuously since mid-2003, and much of this information is seeing the light of day for the very first time ever. This new resource will allow you to utilize 500Eboard research and resources to track specific cars, their sale history, documented modifications, and other information that has surfaced over the years.
We are also providing analytics about the cars' production. This means that if you are curious as to how many "Signal Red" cars were produced for the US market with a black interior, specifically in Model Year 1993, you can now easily find this information. You can also find aggregated information -- for example, how many "Black Pearl" cars were imported into the US over the three-year span.
