I would be super interested, but don’t want to have to glue these to the bumper. I believe the ones that E500Star makes require that. Not sure if you can make them without having to glue them?
I would be interested in a set as spares, but only if they are exact replicas of the factory units (no glue). I would think if you did 20-30 pairs, you would have takers for many if not most of them, and would be able to sell any remaining ones over time.

Also, what about the bracket that's riveted to the inside of the cover? Can you print them?

Yes, these two plastic panels are often lost or mis-installed when removed and then they easily drop off the car, never to be seen again.
The edges of the panels fit very tightly into a groove under the car. What most people (including professionals) don't know/understand is that the panels are designed to be fixed in place with a loud, audible "click," which locks them into place and helps prevent them from being lost and dropping off the car.
What often happens is that a professional (or DIY owner) will remove the panels to clean the area, or work on the car. They re-fit the panels into the grooves, which tend to collect a lot of dirt and detritus based on their location behind the rear wheel (much stuff gets kicked up into that area). The panels are installed, but due to dirt in the channel/groove, the panels are not "clicked" into place, and the vibration of the car running quickly loosens the panels, and they drop off the car.
I speak from experience on this, from many (~12-14) years ago. I realized some time later that both of my panels had dropped off the car, and bought new ones from MB back in the day. If I remember correctly, these cost somewhere around $20-25 each at the time. They sat on my home workbench in Texas for several years, until I finally got around to putting them back on the car. CORRECTLY. They are still on, just fine, but unfortunately are NLA from MB.
If you roll your car without these panels. you will accumulate a LOT of dirt, grit, and moisture in areas back there that you want to minimize those very elements.

In addition to what Gerry said, if the rear bumper has ever been removed, these inserts generally come out prior to removal... and then are either not installed properly as described above, or the shop "forgets" to re-install them (similar to how engine splash/sound panels vanish after a trip to an indy).
I took out the part and it can be done but it can't be a 1 piece part. the face of the part will be printed then I can add 2 clamp shape pieces to back of the part for holding it on the bumper. the problem is you need a good force to install the original part in the place and 3d printed part can't take that force so it has to go there a lot smother otherwise it will break. also 3d printed part won't be as durable as oem part if any rocks hitting it will break. the only way of making it durable is injection molding which is expensive.
I’d like to give it a try and buy a couple of sets if you decide to make them.

As we all know, the rear bumper end covers/inserts, which prevent the wheels from kicking wet/dirt/debris back into the wide crevice between the body and bumper are no longer available from Mercedes and are impossible to find used. Their part numbers are 124-885-15-23 left and 124-885-16-23...

I am currently in Japan and have ordered two sets. We'll see if that actually works, since I am staying at a Hotel and not a residential address and will be here only until Thanksgiving.
The website is interesting, as it has some parts that are (as far as I know) NLA (e.g. front grille insert and an E60 front sway bar - PN 1243230165 to name a few). Pricing levels are crazy though - an orange front turn signal is running at $200 if you factor in transport and tax.....

I will keep you posted. They got back to me today and said the parts will be delivered tomorrow. Note though that they told me that they don't ship outside of Japan, so you will have to have a Japanese delivery address. Also note that say this is "pay on receipt" only, so you can't pay them online. EDIT: Seems like they are accepting credit card and shipping to addresses outside of Japan, as another member was successful with it after I purchased mine

The parts were delivered as promised today and they are indeed OEM parts. And with that ends my two year search for a replacement of the missing passenger side cover on my car, so I'm pretty stoked about these!

I looked at the items on MBstore.jp page: リアバンパーカバー左右セット (社外) W124/500E E500
The Kanji "社外製" on the item description translates roughly to "aftermarket made" or made by an outside company. They're not OEM but still appear to be a high quality reproduction.

I guess I will have to see how the fit and finish turns out when I have it installed together with the new rear bumper n Jan. The part has some flex to it and a very good surface finish - looks like injection molded. Hopefully it will do the trick

Good job, 036. I ordered a couple of pairs of these a couple of months ago. They are not OEM and are not as thick as the OEM pieces. However, at a cursory glance, they seem to fit. My car has been in the shop, and I have not had a chance yet to test them. They are made of a hard ABS type plastic.
If they worked well, Gerry and I thought we might organize a group buy. Here are photos:

I never followed up on this post. I installed the Japanese aftermarket gap cover that I had bought in Tokyo and the part fits really well without any adjustments. Drove about 500 miles since installation and so far it’s still there
