FOR SALE FS: Evo II 8.25x17 set of 4 - Used Excellent Condition make your 500E look "Limited"

Ok all. Hello,

I have taken my Evo II off my '92 500E and selling separately. As you know, these are genuine, made in Italy. Part # 124 401 17 02 silver paint finish. And if what I read is right, were the original equipment wheels on the '94 Limited (Gary?) From what I hear, no longer available from MB.

The GOOD
These wheels are beautiful. All 4 are used and in excellent condition. All "true" (none out of round) never in an accident, no damage at all.

The BAD
Very minor paint chip on a couple of the rims from mount/dismount or curb (see photos) and usual brake dust on inside surfaces (all weights removed).

I have been checking around to get a value on the wheels to price fairly. I saw a set of EVO II on ebay for $1,600 but they are 7 inch wide, not the 8.25 as for the '94 E500 Limited. Also found a set of NOS 8.25's available in England for $2,800.

My price: $1,450 for the set of 4.

Attached photos show how great they are. I am in Branson, MO (southern Missouri) and believe I can send the set by FedEx ground fully insured for estimated $200 to just about anywhere in America. (I will box these individually.)

Hope they go to a member as in my humble opinion, they are the "right" wheels to have on a 500E!

Thanks!

Its the polished version that were on the Ltds. I'm surprised the know-it-alls haven't ripped into to you yet on that ! No biggy.

These are sweet too and easier to refurbish (if needed down the road) than the polished ones (which are NLA from dealers). The right tires on these might hide most of the edge chips too.

Great price Mike; new they are well over 2 grand for a set. Good luck with the sale !!

Jimbo,

Thanks for the correction on the polished vs. painted. I did not know that and my apologies for this minor misrepresentation. If anyone asks, I will update with the right info.

This now begs the question for our beloved "know-it-alls" . . . When did the painted version of the 17 x 8.25 (as mine are) come out and what were they originally put on by MB? Or where they only an option/accessory from MB? Oh, and am I correct in representing that these wheels (part number) is no longer available via MB?

Regards & respects

Mike
