Hello guys,

I know here lots of people who appreciate R107. Here is we got for sale Euro import 500SL. This vehicle is for sale by my friend's family member. They received it as partial trade for Tesla Model S.

What I know so far about this car:

It is been professionally repainted in the beginning of 2000. It was owned by famous person here in MN who bought it in 2007 and drove it 2-3 times a year on a car parades that he organized.

It has 50 000 original miles on it. Originally was Southern car. Apparently garage kept. Absolutely NO rust with very clean body.

Was serviced at dealer. Recently AC was fixed. Everything works fine including AC and cruise control. Tranny shifts very smooth and firm.

Car comes with hard top.

I attach pics. I have numerous pics but it is hard to upload all of them here since they are too heavy to this site. If there people who is interested contact me and I ll provide all information and additional photos.
Body is absolutely free of scratches , dings and dents .

Mechanically this car is meticulous. Absolutely NO problem.

What I ve noticed

it has new spark plug wires, new distributore cap, new coolant tank, new valve cover gaskets, new fuel pump, some other new parts that I do not know the name of.

Absoultely no leaks, shakes or whatsoever.

The only problem is tires. They are new but they are 2005 and got squared little bit because it is been sitting for a loooong time.

Leather is soft , but there some spots/area where it is hard because of the southern sun.
Interior does have some flaws like few little cracks on a dashboard near wind shield, few cracks in a leather driver seat, some carpet does not fit right.

Somebody installed clarion radio and ugly pioneer? speakers.
CLEAN TITLE
All other details, question and price is over the phone or pm me.

I posted it here first, if it is not gonna work we will post it on ebay.
I really appreciate great Mercedes products so want this beauty go to a nice home.

That price is about $10,000 too low for this car, if the cosmetics are all there. I would recommend you have the car thoroughly inspected by an independent shop to determine what, if any issues there are. What is the condition of the soft top?

That is what I thought. But this is the price they named to me to put on sale.

I believe there is absolutely know issues with this car cuz the previous owner was VERY wealthy and famous person.

I m pretty anal and do have good eyes. So what I found I listed above .

I do not trust shops at all, there was no case when shop found more than I was able to see/find (besides scanning computer).

No problem with the soft top.

It is not an easy car to sell so if there is a person who interested I ll be more than happy provide all information I have/know.

Car comes with few records to prove mileage and repairs (just in case somebody wants to know).

You should then buy the car at that price, and flip it for a nice profit. If everything is there, the car should bring $25K IMHO being a Euro, documented, etc. But things have to be there, such as the soft top being in good condition, good mechanicals, non clunking suspension, etc. I can tell you (from owning a 107 Sacramento car with 45K when I got it) that there are PLENTY of issues on these cars just from non-use.

I disagree that the car is not easy to sell. There is a VERY good demand for R107s despite there being plenty of them out there. Good examples will readily sell. I had no problem selling mine whatsoever, and I didn't even market it. R107 prices are appreciating as it's just starting to hit the sweet spot of collectability and increased desirability. You've seen the Pagodas really start to increase in price over the past 10 years, and the 107s are also poised to do this. The 107 is a MUCH better car than the Pagoda, BTW. Trust me.

Of course I trust you. I had in mind fact that you own one and that is why put it here.

I understand that there might be issues from a non use. However, there is a receipt for recent AC repair and inspection from MB dealer. So I believe it is in a good shape. I also test drove it and it drives fine except tires.

However, it is very small car and I did not really like :duck:

I would rather advice my friend to sell it higher.

I ll edit my previous post cuz I do not want to mess with the price since it is not my car and I m not selling it. Though I can arrange any meeting or obtain necessary information .

Really appreciate your advice
