Has anyone modified 10in 3 piece AMG wheels with smaller lips to raise the offset?

I just installed a set of 17x8.5 et18 and 17x10 et17 on the car and I can't get used to how far out the rears are sitting. No chance I would try to shave the pad or anything like that so i was wondering if anyone had put a smaller lip on the wheels to give it a higher offset?
As much as I love the deep 3 in lips, I am thinking a 2.5 in lip wouldn't look that much different but allow me to tuck the wheels in a bit more since there is tons of space on the inside between the wheel and the shock.

You mean you don't like the phat rear wheels and wide lips? :duck:

18x10.0 with 285's shown below:

No, I absolutely love wide wheels, actually run 285s all around on my RS4. My issue is the offset is so low that they stick out more than I like. They aren't flush with the fender but stick out maybe 15mm.
My plan is to swap the 3in lips for 2.5in and upsize the 7in barrel to 7.5in to keep the 10in wheel with my 275 tires but that should get me about a half inch or 12.5mm closer.

Your car above looks great, I am assuming your offset is at least 25mm or so

AH, got it... you are keeping 10" width and changing offset. :thumbsup2:

I actually don't know the exact offset on the iForged wheels, but from measuring, I think it is close to ET25. I tried contacting iForged several times asking for them to look up the serial number and tell me the specs and they never responded to any inquiries. Not impressed with their customer service, but their wheels sure are nice.

:seesaw:

Got it. If my plan works I should be closer to et30 on the rear with the 10in wheels.
I got a set of Limited E500 rear springs that I'm installing next week as well.
