HELP WITH PART/PART NUMBER (Hood latch striker)

Does anyone have one of these laying around spare, or perhaps can provide the part number for it?

It's the rubber "buffer" with protects the paintwork from damage from the hood "claw" when closing the hood (hope this description makes sense!?

That is not the correct part number, @nocfn.

Also, I believe it is a plastic part, not rubber.

The correct part numbers are:

1248870145 (for pre-facelift cars)


1248870245 (for facelift cars)


These parts both do appear to be available -- the pre-facelift part MSRP in the US around $5.50, the facelift part in the US around $3.20. You can get discounts from those prices, of course.

Years ago I ordered 124-887-01-45 and found the new part lacked the "wraparound" portion. I had not tried ordering the #02 version though. Looks like both are still available, I'll have to get some 124-887-02-45 and see what those look like.

The 02-45 part has the bottom wrap-around, yes.
