Anyone have success polishing the headlights with amazon kits?

Is this for a w124 with glass lens? I would doubt very much it will do anything useful on the glass.
I have had success with such restoration kits on newer cars with plastic headlamp lenses if that's what you mean. On w211s and similar they worked great.
