Headlight reinstallation trouble- 500E

Need some sage like advise on refitting the headlights into a 500E please.
Didnt have much trouble removing them though after having them away to have the front housings resealed am having a tough time on reinstallation.

Have searched the treasure trove on here and cannot find any wisdom on reinstallation- I am having issue with getting the wiper motor seated in and trying to get the top section under the radiator support all while trying not to scratch up the front bar and chrome trim- the headlight adjusters are fouling on the support when trying to get them in straight on and is super awkward trying to get it in with the looms attached and wiper hose seated in.

Is there an angle of attack that has worked well for those who have been here before ? Should i be swinging it in sideways rather than straight on?

It is a bit tricky and had me convinced they could not fit. All it takes is some unintuitive finagling. It's been years since I replaced any so I cannot offer any concrete tips except apply some tape to the vulnerable areas you are worried about. You will find the way. Something like the process for installing the ETA.
