500E Mirror+boots ULO

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for an outside mirror (with boot) for my 500E. I found a new one, from old stock and it does not come with the original Mercedes box. When I asked why, the seller told me that it is a ULO brand, which has always manufactured Mercedes mirrors and that it is an original replacement. I was unaware of this, I wanted to ask the forum members if this is true and if ULO is a quality brand. I look for mirrors with original boots that don't crack.

My understanding is that yes, ULO is the OEM for the door mirrors.

If your mirror is in good condition, you can just replace the boot. New boots are available from the dealer (don't get the cheap aftermarket copies).

Thanks for always answering gsxr

Okay, we will put ULO as a TOP brand then. The bad thing is that it no longer manufactures for w124, the oldest I think is w210. It is data extracted from their website.

After researching online, I see that the boots are available at Mercedes USA dealers, yes they are available!!!, But not in Europe. Argggggg. How can this be? Here we only have cheap Turkish or Chinese imitations.

Also, if I try to order online at a Mercedes USA dealership, they won't let me enter another country.

All this is incredible.

If a boot is available in the US from MB, then it should be available globally anywhere they sell parts. Have you checked availability via the MB Classic Parts web site? Put an "A" before the part number (no spaces) and it will tell you availability from the factory.

Also, have you checked our "Naughty/Nice" list for parts manufacturers?

Thanks for the answer

Perfect! They have it. Now I'm going to place the order. You have been a great help.

I keep in mind the list of good and bad. I soon have to change the belt, tensioner and do a lot of maintenance on my battered and recently purchased 500E.

Thank you so much.

Today news:

Price at Mercedes dealer in my city:

€384 per couple. ($400 approx)

They look like they are made of carbon fiber or gold. I hope at least they last another 30 years.
