Hi All , The back screen is on now. took a few days because it had been replaced once before in the car’s life. The last time a window installer had cut out the glass and at the same time they cut into the body paint where the glass sits. This resulted in a reveal of a lot of corrosion around the car body screen recess where the glass fits into. luckily it was not rotted through. So the glass installer knocked back the lose rust, applied rust converter, then he primered it. I had to get a can of silver paint mixed up because we needed to repaint the repaired parts. We used enamel paint. he coated the whole recess with the silver 744, which was all covered by the new seals anyway, but it was done for added protection. I had my glass pre tinted before installing, by my window tint person. The tint I use reduces heat by 80%, needed here in California.
Overall came out great . the clarity is amazing and heater/demister is working, although that was tested by the window installer since I don’t make morning mist right now. will see over time how well it works in real world situations.
As for the other new rubbers I got, I highly recommend to get a great fit on the new glass. The only part NA is the one in the picture. Bit of a sad thing because rest is all new, the trim and the rubbers .
