Looking for an Ignition control module for 1994 E500. Will a r129 icm work or does anyone have suggestions or inputs? Please and thanks !!

@zmcgee - what part number are you looking for? Most likely your E500 came with 015-545-61-32 which is the latest version.

The older part numbers will also work, and yes the R129 module will work. All the 5.0 ignition modules are interchangeable.

You can gamble with units off eBay and hope they work - most sellers have no way to test them. I have one available but it will cost a bit more, but mine are tested and guaranteed to work correctly.

BTW - what are the symptoms on your car? Defective ignition modules generally fail such that 1 distributor does not fire, but this can also be cause by a bad coil / cap / rotor.

:shocking:
