500E Its too good to keep this find private

Same. It does VERY well for a 3,800 lb car. It looks like the car in the 2nd video is lower and stiffer than the first car. Better tires as well. When it's not asked to turn to tight it drives like a track car. Was the track in the 1st video tighter or smaller? What a great sounding motor when pushed hard.

Interesting… if I had to guess I’d call the pre facelift car lowered on smaller wheels, and less planted as a result. The facelift car looks stock to me, and seems to act like it. The stance is familiar 18” and factory composed. But these are guesses, so apply finely grained salt as appropriate. Either way based upon what I’m seeing I’ll take the facelift car first.

Second car looks like it has some kind of triangular cutout on the hood. Both drivers clearly have been around the proverbial block before - I know that I sure wouldn't be able to push so hard on some of those sweepers and chicane type lane shifts. Interesting not to see any smoking brakes or hear ABS chattering. Wonder if it was not engaged.

That infield kart course at the Kielce track is ok, but you can’t really stretch the legs on an 036 there. Too bad nobody wanted to join me at the tracks I used to run in SoCal. Both Willow Springs and the Roval track in Fontana allowed one to test their abilities at higher speeds.

Looks like a lot of fun. I would like to try that at least once. Does anybody know the track name and where it’s located.
Terry, if you'd like to try turning a wheel on a track, check out a driving school at Sonoma Raceway (aka Sears Point or Infineon), or Laguna Seca. Both are epic tracks in your backyard. Best to start with a school where you drive their cars, not yours, until you learn the track... then check into what it takes to get your car on the track.

It's WAY more fun to be actually driving on the track, vs spectating! Turn 1 at Laguna Seca looks like nothing from the sidelines, but at 150mph on a bike after the front straight, it's a serious left turn. I only rode my bike at Laguna Seca once (DP Safety School) but I spent quite a bit of time at Sears Point over 3 years, racing in the AFM. Laguna is a higher speed track, I'd recommend starting at Sonoma.

Check out the Skip Barber "Driving Academy" program at Sonoma:

It’s just nice to see our E500Es in action.
Exactly, which is why I was hoping to entice other 036 owners to come out and partake. Only Justin (J-Sauce) came to the drag races, but I wanted to see multiple 036’s on road courses. Do a few laps and strictly from an audience/admirer perspective, sit back and watch them in action.

I ran Laguna Seca once back in 2015. Amazing experience and if it was closer, I’m sure I would have been there at least twice a month.
