Nice. And now I know what a polished evo wheel looks like with the laurel and wreath center cap.
I think I recognize Dee Cela’s car, of zuckbook w124 group fame.

Yes Dee (dash) is a good friend of mine. He often spends my money on parts that I dont really need. In fact that was the reason for the meet up. He brought me goodies for various cars...
Hah. Is he on here?

My E 500 W registration is actually E5 OOW, I.e. there is only one numeric character. The way I've spaced the letters on the plate is illegal, but I carry a spare set of correctly spaced plates in the car, and they could be easily swopped if I did get stopped. I think the reason I haven't had a problem is because number plate recognition cameras "bunch" all the characters up anyway, so spacing becomes irrelevant?

Eaxactly, mine are the same. E5 OOM, E5 OOK and E5 OOJ. And now 500 EJ

I see number plate recognition cameras mounted on the trunks of police cars all the time here in Maryland and DC. They mount them, sit by the side of the road, and scan the plates of cars going by to search for stolen vehicles. I believe they had them in Houston, as well. Pretty common....

They use ALPR's here in the UK, not just to spot stolen cars, but also to find untaxed cars, and those without insurance.

I had never knew what those were. I have also seen them here in Atlanta but not for some years.
