Last remaining Silver Arrow-branded front brake discs/rotors

If anyone is thinking about acquiring some SIlver Arrow rotors .......

Some may remember I posted last month that Mercedes Classic in California told me I had ordered the last two Genuine Silver Arrow (code P30) front rotors on the planet. Well, they spoke too soon. My mechanic today informed me that while the tags on the rotors had the correct part number on them, the part number stamped on the rotors is actually a 220 chassis part number.

So, they sent me the wrong discs. Classic says there are none left in either the Silver Arrow or regular branded designation from Mercedes.

I did, however, find just a few on eBay that are Genuine Silver Arrow P30 discs. There are 4 left. If you are interested, I would move quickly:

This does not mean there may not still be some lying around elsewhere in the US or Europe, but.....

Of course, there are still plenty of aftermarket equivalents available from various manufacturers, if you don't care about having Genuine".

I had bought silver arrow ATE boxed discs- made in Germany and super quality. Exact same as MB indeed thats likely where they come from.....

I recently bought a pair of Centric 128.35046 rotors from Rock Auto (replacement part for Silver Arrow rotors) and was pleasantly surprised that they are reboxed German-made Zimmermann rotors.

Are those z-coat zimmermans as well? (Grey painted rotor hats?)

I believe so. The entire rotor (both sides) is coated with the grey stuff.

My apologies. I forgot to post that I ordered these and was then told there were none in the warehouse. So, the system showed available, but they were not. I went ahead and ordered the Zimmermans.

Brembo aftermarket is now offering the SA cross drilled front rotors. $64 each at RockAuto as of today.

I am not convinced that the quality of the Brembo aftermarket line is all that good, but I could be wrong on this. I consider them like TRW -- they have a pedestrian line for the aftermarket, and a superior quality line they OEM to manufacturers.
