WANTED Looking for late rear brakes, AKA facelift or S600 brakes.

When my 6.0 AMG was converted to E60 AMG specs by AMG back in 1994, some items were left out for unknown reasons. It is mainly the suspension parts (shocks, springs, swaybar) and the rear brakes was neither upgraded. I try to collect the missing parts so I am looking for the rear brake set-up; calipers and discs.

Arnt, those rear calipers are 2-piston Ate iron, for 300x22mm rotors. They are used on a lot of models from the late 90's through 2000's. Are you looking for used, or rebuilt? Should be easy to find used ones, maybe even locally.

Looks like these might even be available new (or rebuilt) from the dealer, just not cheap.

the whole spiel for the rears (calipers, pads, dust shields) were still available new from MB less than a year ago when I upgraded the brakes on my car (not remanufactured)

Thanks guys!

I don't know when these brakes goes on the car, so I am basically looking for a used set due for a refresh. I've had a plan for a big brake upgrade for years and collected most of the parts, but the status on these cars has changed now being a young classic which dictates the market value. Based on that it should be kept original. But my car does already have major upgrades with the supercharging (w/decompression i.e. turned down pistons) and color change from 172 to 040. And it is after all my car and my preferences put in it, and bolted items can easily be reversed. Time will show, but I have to collect the stock items missing on it when they're still around.

Arnt, you should have no problems finding used rear calipers. Make sure the look like the photo above with the number "42" on the face.
