M104 ETA connector input wiring

hi all .. I’ve looked and cannot locate and any information about the input source of the connector that feeds the ETA. Assuming the bio wiring was used on that harness too?
ETA acting funky perhaps the wiring feeding this connection is also bad and in need of replacement as well..
Any help appreciated ! Thanks.. Woodman

The ETA plugs into the body/chassis harness. To date, nobody has reported that particular harness failing or having the insulation crumble apart. The only harnesses which have biodegradable insulation are the engine harness, starter/alternator harness, and ETA cable.

How is the ETA acting funky, and has it been rebuilt? If so, by whom?

Thanks for the reply. The car stumbled like you turned off the key for a couple of seconds 3 times in a row at low speed. No warning lights on dash, pulled over, goosed it a couple of times. It never died but seems like it wanted to.
Haven’t driven it except that day. Ran errands and started and stopped a couple of times no issues.
It does smell very rich after starting. Engine harness dated 09/ 97. Haven’t tried pulling codes yet. Very concerned about my wife getting behind the wheel.

What you describe doesn't sound like a throttle control (ETA) issue to me. My guess is something mixture related.

The CEL only triggers for significant faults, so it would be a good idea to check for fault codes stored on the HFM computer. Otherwise, viewing live data with HHT-Win or HFM Scan might reveal some useful information. Stumbling could be a misfire, also check out all the ignition components.

No ASR and the cruise still works! I know for a fact that is original and never been touched.
Perhaps I might find time tomorrow to pull codes with my blinker. That is all that I have for diagnostics other than fuel rail pressure gage, a vacuum gage and a VOM.

I hate to just start throwing parts at it. Car has 191k on it and hasn’t ever let me down. This is the first issue
