M117 6.0 AMG hammer

Hi everyone. Are there experts on the engine M117 6.0 AMG hammer? I bought a Mercedes W126 with such a motor. At first, the engine did not start. As a result, it was started but at idle speed there is a strong vibration on the body. The engine supports changed. The engine was repaired but what was specifically done is not known. How to check camshafts labels can not find information. I also found rooms on distribution shafts that differ, maybe during the repair they were mixed up in places. By the numbers on the camshafts I searched for information on the Internet without performance. (921456 shafts with this number are installed in my engine on the left head, the same for inlet and outlet. On the right head there are also two identical ones with numbers 921466). If anyone has what information to share please. P.S. sorry for my English writing through a translator.

Maybe there are more specialists on the W117 AMG engine? Jonathan Hodgman (@jhodg5ck ) helped me with the manual. But when translating, technical terms are apparently not translated correctly. And we're doing something wrong. We checked all the engine systems separately. Everything is fine. We came to the conclusion that the problem is in the configuration of the camshafts relative to the camshaft. If someone knows how to do this, please help.

Jonathan at Blue Ridge Mercedes and Hartmut Feyhl at Renntech in Florida are the only two experts in the US on the M117 quad cam engine. Don't have a clue about EMEA. I am sure there are specialists in Germany who could help.

But understand - Jonathan and Hartmut run businesses and may not be interested in providing free guidance. They have very specialized knowledge that has taken many years to acquire and perfect with these engines. Their time is money to them.

Hi Leshij,
Welcome. Jonathan and Hartmut are the experts.
