Following Gerry's topic about odometer repair I'd like to tell you how happy I am with this guy James at http://www.mbcluster.com

As some of you may know I had an inoperative fuel gauge. I took it to some "experts" here in Madrid and all said that it couldn't be fixed (= they didn't want to take the time to fix it). I went then to the dealer and they told me that they had a new replacement aviable but for more than 600 euro. As that was my last chance to solve the problem I ordered it. After waiting a couple of weeks they told me that it was no longer aviable (I have a rare instrument setup). They even contacted the Mercedes Classic Center with no results. Very dissapointed I wrote a complaint letter to the classic center. Just two hours later, someone from the Costumer Service at Maastrich kindly answered me telling me to contact the Classic Center :banghead:

I finally found MB Cluster and contacted them. I send some pictures and James told me that It could be definitively fixed. Just a day after it arrived to Canada, the instrument worked again. I was always updated during the process with exahustively explained emails with lots of pictures. James was always very kind and enthusiastic about his work. It's a pleasure to find this kind of attitude after so many closed doors before.

So I'd like to thank him here and recommend this company to everyone. I'd also like to thank Dave as the information provided about the fuel gauge and sender turned out to be essential for the final calibration.

Attached are some pictures of the repair

This is really great news to hear, and I am so glad that your issue was able to be resolved. Just goes to show the value of knowledgeable gurus like Dave (I'd actually label him more of a 500E spiritual master) too.

Congrats!

Cheers,
Gerry

LOL, too true! Dave is the Lee Scheeler of today (for those old Mercedes Shop members) :man:
