This eBay Seller has boxes of 10 F8DC4 plugs for sale @ $20/box of 10, plus shipping. I bought 3 boxes for in-hand total of $84 for 30 plugs = $2.80/plug. Pretty good deal. Sealed MB boxes. Opened one up and confirmed F8DC4, made in Germany

Nice. Thanks for pointing this out. I snagged a box for shelf stock. Does that qualify as hoarding?

With the expensive shipping, they are not that much cheaper than MB.

eBay: $20.00 + $10.80 shipping = $30.89 + sales tax (vendor charges) = $32.09

Here's what I can get then locally for (MB Annapolis).

$3.48 x 10 = $34.80 + 6% sales tax = $36.88.

So I guess you're saving about $4.80 via the eBay seller.

I have two boxes of 10 spark plugs. I intend to use eight of them very shortly. And seeing as I have an M104, it seems that having 12 extra plugs is "enough" extra without being seen as a hoarder. I would think that @JC220, with his fleet, would be buying F8DC4s by the "brick" (MB sells them 10 boxes per brick).

@gsxr is secretly a pusher. I bought 30 for my one car, and he tried to guilt trip me into not buying forty. 🤣
In my defense, I just did maths. 30 plugs means 3 plug changes and 6 left over. 40 plugs means 5 total changes, none left over!

Also, I was pushing Jlaa to buy another 036, to have an excuse to actually use the plugs. Because that makes total sense. I mean, you only have to change them every 30kmi, so to use 3 sets (or 5) before we buy the farm, you need MORE CARS!

Right, Trae?

:jono:

Emailed the seller asking for postage cost for 4x boxes to Ireland - no response so I guess that's that! My cars all have new recent plugs anyway so they would sit on the shelf for years maybe no point.

:) any discount buying by the brick?

Not that I'm aware of. It's more convenient in terms of packaging is all. The MB online dealers just charge a fixed price per plug, and you multiply it times 10.

MB has changed the part number of the plugs to 003 159 68 03. They still appear to be made in France [by Beru, not Bosch]. I am going to put a box of 10 on my next parts order and will report back as to what I received.

I bought two plugs (to make an even four sets from the 30 that I bought from that ebay guy) - this is what I received with 003 159 68 03. Made in France.

Yep... MB has been OOS/NLA on the #67 Bosch for a long time now. They only have the #68 Beru (which are functionally equivalent).

:shocking:

That is correct. I have a box of plugs that just came into MB Annapolis today, which I'll be picking up tomorrow. They are the 68 03 plugs. I will take photos and post them of the unboxing, because unboxing a new box of MB plugs is a real big deal.

I do have a brand new set of the German-made Bosch MB factory plugs, the 67 03 26 plugs. Factory box of 10, unopened. Happy to sell for USD 5,000. The individual plug boxes still contain the German air.

I don't know where this dude is getting this many NOS German plugs, but he claims to have another 30 boxes. Hoard while you can. The MB-branded, Made-in-Germany plugs are NLA from every other source I know of. You can only get aftermarket Bosch Russia, or OE MB Beru France.

$25 per box of 10, unspecified shipping charges (had been ~$8/box, IIRC).

EDIT: As Gerry noted below, I also have no issues with the Russian/French plugs mentioned above, which are commonly available worldwide.

These are OEM Bosch Mercedes-Benz Spark plugs. Made in Germany. These are the real deal, not poor quality knockoffs. Have 30 boxes available. Each box contains 10 spark plugs. Sold by the box. I am selling these cheaper than cost to clear them out. Continental USA only, APO addresses please verify shipping prior to purchase.
I will gladly combine shipping for bulk purchases. Buy with confidence, see my feedback!

I do want to state, for the record, that there is nothing wrong with or inferior about the current OE MB Beru "French-made" plugs, as opposed to the former OE MB German-made Bosch plugs, or the Russia-made aftermarket Bosch plugs. All of them work just fine in the M119, and there are no quality issues with them.

I would not hesitate to use ANY or ALL of these three varieties of plugs in my car.

Same seller appears to have an unlimited supply of these NOS Germany plugs. Previously claimed he had 30 boxes but sold 53. The last batch sold out in June 2021:

However, he just re-listed with a claimed 20 boxes available... now up to $32 per box delivered in USA:

For me, the shipping in the listing - would not combine, was kinda a buzz kill, so I asked him... Hi does offer a discount:

"Sure,
I would be happy to combine shipping. 3-6 boxes will cost $12.45 to ship USPS priority flat rate.

Adjustment will be made on invoice.
Thanks,

Ken"

3 boxes for me (x3 changes for m119, x1 for m104}

Regards,
D
