Mercedes A124 also built by Porsche??

A claim is now spreading that the W124 A124 cabriolet was also built by Porsche and they provided this article. This is the first I have heard of this, can any German speakers translate?

Nope. All this says is that Porsche‘s development facility in Weissach was contracted to do some development and testing work. Nothing about this car having been built by Porsche.
