Hi, this one has been up in the good old days of 500Ecstasy. Car is Swedish reg as a '92 500E, says here 5.2? apparently
it has a good boast of power but how, surely it has been worked over by Brabus. Has not seen it myself, anyone that has
got a clue of something the like. Brabus did a lot of things back then in the middle of the '90es,, Roger

My first guess would be he simply put a 300km/h speedo in his car and didn't change the settings. So his 300km/h is actually 260km/h.

Note there is a distinct lack of Brabus badges or decals anywhere in the engine compartment. Most likely a stock 5.0L engine. NO idea why he claims it's 5.2L... weird.

Jelmer is correct about the speedo, it has a 300kph faceplate but was not recalibrated. Watch the upshift points at redline for the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, which are at 90kph and 140kph (approx 56mph & 88mph). Stock shift points are approx 65kph & 110kph. If the speedo was accurate, the differential gear ratio would need to be somewhere around 2.24. The car also accelerates much to slowly to have 380hp. It does appear to have limited-slip, which is nice...
