The immortal John Davis takes a look at the 1993 300CE Cabriolet in this just-released "Retro Review" from MotorWeek, TV's longest running car review show. Had no idea it was that expensive when new, only a $7.5k cheaper than my 94 E500.

John Davis & MotorWeek are a fixture here in Maryland. I think it's the longest-running car show on TV. Laura says she remembers it even as a little girl growing up in Baltimore. I was quickly schooled upon moving to Maryland about MotorWeek, which is based here in this state. I'd never heard of it, growing up on the West Coast. However we record it every week and we watch episodes/cars of interest to both of us. My favorite part is Goss' Garage.

This little 2-minute segment ought to resonate with many of you:

Interestingly, I was driving two weekends ago down MD-3 through the Gambrills/Crofton area, and came across a new shop that had recently opened, called (you name it) Goss' Garage. Pat Goss is sort of like an Uncle Kent on steroids.

Only 4K cheaper! They mentioned the 300CE stickers for 76K, and the 500E was 80K! BTW the Opel Manta at the 3 min mark gave me a laugh...

3.00 mins into the video an Opel Manta GT/E pulled up behind it. I had one during college. I truly loved that car.

Don’t know what it is about the pre-facelift convertible, but to my mind that’s a gorgeous looking car with a beautiful silhouette
Grille looks even more prominent because there’s less car there... my eye reacts to the proportions.

Interesting that the video went from US to Europe quite fluidly. You could tell as the car at the beginning and end had NA headlights but the shots in the middle had a car with Euros.

Like @maw1124, I like the Euros and the pre-facelift pronounced grille.
