My G won’t start

The G has been sitting for the last couple/several weeks but I decided to [try to] start it up earlier this evening. The key fob unlocks and locks the electric door locks. After inserting the key and turning to the first position, cluster lights all light up, but when trying to crank it...no crank and no starter motor engaging. Any ideas?

Smack the starter with a hammer and try again.

How many batteries do you have?

You may need to reset the fob. Sounds like your fob and the starter-ignition lockout are not in sync.

I’ve had it happen once or twice with my IRCL fob. Your system is different but likely a similar issue. Some googling should solve the problem.

So I tried starting it again tonight using the other key-fob. No luck...no cluster lights or anything this time. It's been parked this entire time in my office garage meanwhile I've been on a staycation of sorts for the past 2 weeks. So, my next step will be to try jump starting it sometime in the next couple of days.....unless someone else has a better idea?
