Need a hand with Hirschmann Antenna cable (the actual antenna cable)

All,
The antenna in my 500e finally decided that it wasn't going to retract any more. I sourced an NOS Hirschmann antenna, and today was the day I decided to replace it. Well... surprise of surprises... The antenna that was in there was actually an HIT AUTA 2040 SW which appears to be from a porsche? It was sweet, because it had a black mast, which was cool... but I decided to put in the correct antenna.

Now, the physical antenna went in fine, and I adapted the wiring to work (so the antenna goes up and down and all that). However, the antenna cable itself doesn't thread in to the Hirschmann, because the end is different.

Here's what the "antenna" end of the porsche antenna looked/looks like.. As you can see it looks like a coax (smaller diameter) and the end of the cable is female, and threaded on to the male end of the mast.

On the Hirschmann (the correct one for the w124), the end of the cable should be male, and the antenna is female.

Like this.

So rather than cut the antenna cable, I'd like to find an adapter cable of some sort. I sifted through my box of Ham Radio and CB antenna stuff, and none of this looks like that stuff, so I am not sure the names I should be googling.

Any ideas?

If you are looking to reverse the genders of the coax cable, you should just be able to buy a gender changer and it will be a 5/8-3/4” solid piece. Available at Amazon and other places.

Yeah, but the diameters are different, so it isn't that simple.

From a COAX perspective, I don't know the names of the connectors on either side. For example, in the Ham Radio world, you have a PL-259 and a SO-239. Those are the male and female sides of a normal full sized COAX cable. But I don't know what these cables/connections actually are.

And they aren't the same diameter.

Dan, I think the silver rectangle might be the missing piece of the puzzle. I believe that is the widget which switches between radio antenna, and cellular (analog) phone antenna. The diameters are different on the threaded coax connectors. Normally you swap the silver box from old to new antenna, but if it wasn't present on the old one... d'oh!

I'm not sure if an adapter exists. You may need the silver box and short connecting cable as shown below?
