need instrument cluster 500E

hi im a 4 hours old mercedes 500 E owner so fresh as they come here .....

to my quest i bought a 1991 500E (with facelift) all black and beatiful, problem is that the car was stored couple of years (due custom issues) in that time somebody has stolen the hood and left mirror and instrument cluster!? since this is pretty mutch the only 500E i norway im not sure if its a special 500E cluster or ... case is i need one asap where can i buy? or if somebody has one to sell? hope im not in big trouble here (work as mercedes mechanik but im w210 generation no experience with 124 500E ,and bying one new! i dodnt wonna think about what that will cost if it even possible?

Hi and welcome to a fantastic forum and congrats on your new 500E.

The cluster is unique for the 500E, I don't know if the 400E/E420 cluster is graded the same on the rpm's, if so one of those will work also. All non-V8 clusters have a mechanical wired speedo versus the electonic for the V8 models, and won't work at all.

There are many Scandinavians on this forum. You should be able to find a used cluster on Ebay.de if you can't find one in Norway.

The US cluster have both mph and kph, but the odometer is in miles only.
