I will be going to Germany in September, and could place an order for folks and have them delivered there, and then bring and distribute when I get back to the US. Like I did with the E500E headlight lens group buy many moons ago.

I would need payment in advance and then another US postage payment at time of distribution in the US.

Jeff, I will place an order TODAY for five books -- four for you, and one for me. We can paypal or Zelle once I confirm the order. I will have the books sent to my friend's house near Munich, and will pick them up in mid-September when I am there.

Five books have been ordered. Will catch up with you separately, Jeff. I expect the total will be around $60-65 (closer to $60) per book including Priority Mail shipping on the US end of things.

Just a note for other folks -- if you are trying to pay with a US credit card, this company's web site won't take it directly, because it expects a European address for both billing address + shipping address (they addresses can be different).

They do also take PayPal and through that PP mechanism they will take a US billing address, on the PayPal side.....BUT......the shipping address has to be a European country.

Still would be $15-20 cheaper (per book) to order and have it shipped within Europe for pickup and bringing to the US in luggage, but a valid option. Also, their web site is not set up for non-US billing addresses (with the PayPal exception I mention above).

Hi Jim,

I think you can directly order from the seller, and he will deliver to the US directly. This was not apparent from their website when I ordered, as the US was not listed as a delivery destination. But, the seller has posted on this thread (as well as @maw1124) that they will deliver to the US. Looks like shipping is $35.00 USD?

Anyone interested in an additional group buy on this? The price of the book is reasonable, but the shipping is less if spread out over several copies. How much less, I don't know. I just received my book from Mr. Kraak yesterday, and finally had a first read and look through. It is a labor of love, with good info, owner’s stories and a lot of extremely well taken and edited photos. All printed on high quality paper of course.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book for anyone interested in the 036!

I wish a follow up with the E500 Limited, E60 AMG and E60 AMG Limited. Maybe with some words about the Hammer which is kind of a predecessor for the 036 - or is that like swearing in the church? The special models could be added as well since it's only two; Brabus and Carlsson.
