New Monster in my collection

Proper sleeper if it wasn’t for the wide track
ROTFL! A Black Series is not my idea of a sleeper, proper or otherwise. Stuff a 6L+ engine into the 500E, and THAT would be a pretty nice sleeper / Q-ship.

The new monster is totally sick, btw. What a sweet car. Definitely a long-term keeper.

OMG I was gonna do headers, throttle valves. air box and transmission , but they advised they could not be sure about CA emissions and to reverse the whole install including sending back ECUs to Renntech seems a nightmare.
The airbox is the only thing missing, they're making them again though supposedly

Damn California... here's a glamor shot with the Dymag carbon wheels

Unless it's severely damaged, you can probably have it repaired / straightened.
I think it’s repairable . Not cracked . The run out was 42 thousands which is very square . We were able to bring that down by rotating the tire but ultimately once the tire starts to wear the vibration will come back because the rim is bent . There is someone who can make it round again but I need to send it away. I am trying to see if I can find a spare rim, but they are not cheep because it seem they made this rim only for CLK black and everyone who has one for sale is holding them at a high price and waiting it out until someone is desperate. Worse case I will have to drive another car while I send the wheel away. The last sentence is a bit of a 1st world problem lol 🤣

0.042" is 1.07mm, and yeah, that's out of round. It's not terrible though. My idea of "square" is like 3-5mm bent (or worse), that's bad enough to see with the naked eye. Ideally you want the runout to be less than half that much, <0.50mm if possible. More info on wheel runout in this thread.
