It was promised to him, years ago, and if he is no longer interested I will make it available to others. But, as promised, he has first/last right of refusal.
I am selling off my excess parts as my interests have changed and space is at a premium.
I sold my pre mergers AMGs, the 126 Wide Body and the 500SL 6.0 so my '93 44k mile Malchite/Mushroom car "might" be available in a month or two.
A trade for a Bentley Continental T or a post war R-Type Coupe means more to me than cash.

I've received requests for that from others as well, and I will look a bit into it. I may get it 3D scanned and give the files to someone taking it further. But during my 18 years within the 500E/E500 community I've seen several attempts to reproduce this swaybar per OE specs, but all fell through due to cost. The main reason is the forged to shape with tapering end sections which is a cost driving design. It can be made, but I think the potential market is pretty narrow, which dictates the end price.

Brabus had the exact same design on their front swaybars for the 124 series, but I don't know their vendor. I called Brabus years ago and asked about this, but they couldn't give any minimum quantity to run a new batch - and achieve a reasonable sales price. I got the feeling that if someone ordered say 50 swaybars and paid up front for all, they would make them. So, if someone can shell out $25-35++ grand to Brabus on their own, they may respond to that phone call.

AFAIK Eibach made the very last batch of these swaybars years ago on order from AMG. They don't take private orders on duplicates due to MB copyrights and liability issues, but they may give guidelines on how to proceed. That could be the best place to start digging, or even better if they could trigger AMG to run another reproduction at Eibach.

I don't think we really need to have the ends forged to original dimension, for a reproduction item that is functionally equivalent. A standard 30mm bar with the ends machined to 22mm would be perfectly cromulent, at least for me. Note that back in 2017, SayHey tried to get repop bars produced and the mfr ghosted him when he asked for 22mm ends (link).

In USA, custom swaybar mfrs typically only have SAE sizes available, which is a bit annoying. The closest common SAE size is 1-1/4", or 31.75mm (likely what RENNtech's 32mm bar was made from). I don't know if 1-3/16" bar stock is commonly available, which would be closest at 30.16mm. I am curious if European mfrs would have metric sizes available (30.0mm like the factory bar).

Yeah, the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) is the main roadblock to reproductions. The 400E bars are identically shaped and commonly available, a pair of 034 bars could be sent to a mfr to be copied in a larger diameter.

Note that if the rear bars are reproduced, it would be extremely helpful if the flat section for the SLS bracket could be machined like the OE bar. Installing and mounting the SLS bracket without this flat section is a RPITA, as it was on the 7/8" Fiend rear bar (which has been NLA since about 2017).

Correct - Eibach did make the last batch of E60 bars. I am curious if they would make a custom replica based on a 400E bar if you don't mention a word about the result being equivalent to the E60 bar. Just tell them "I want a thicker version of this 400E bar." Same issues with MOQ likely apply.

In the meantime, Blue Ridge had replica E60 front bars available last year (per TimL's post above), but they ain't cheap. Not sure about current inventory / availability / pricing. I forget if they have rears, or what the size is.

There has been a lot... I mean A LOT... of past discussion on sway bar reproduction. A recent-ish post is at the link below from March 2020, the price was reasonable, but I believe the MOQ of 100 units was the dealbreaker.

So, this has not gone as planned - payment done months ago, but no swaybar shipped and total radio silence from Ron.

Per post #5 above I stated my take on this swaybar in August 22nd 2024. After that it was a bit back an forth on email until we agreed on a sales price, this took a couple of months. He sent pics of the swaybar, but when asking for detail images of the PN label and measurement of the 30 mm diamenter, he went silent. I believe the swaybar is the correct one, but it is usual routine to provide details when requested, nothing special with that. He was absent for several months again but I finally did the payment anyway on April 20th 2025. The payment was done with PayPal F&F and addressed to Rons wife Joanna. He confirmed the payment per email, but no sign of him after that. I've been searching for him everywhere, but nothing to find. I've also searched for his wife Joanna since I have her full name and I recently sent her a message on Messenger.

Ron was a very nice guy when he was active here on the forum, so I feel it is hard to start pushing this harder until I know more. He may have ran into health issues or something else has happened in his life. His full name is Ronald Scoma living in Chicago, so if someone know him or have any leads to him please chime in, that would be very helpful!

It's been some swaybar postings lately so I'll post an update on this as well. I have tried to reach out to both Ron and his wife Joanna (who received the PayPal transaction) on various social media with no response. It may still be plausible reasons behind this, but it has been plenty of time to respond and just say; "We've seen your messages, but you have to wait." or something like that. So I am sorry to say that I now have to consider that my money is simply stolen of a member, I've never thought that would ever happen. This is nothing but sad.

Is it any chance to recall PayPal transactions on private purchases?
