I purchased this car in the spring of 2013. It had some serious high mileage on it but for the most part it seemed solid and not worn out. But the price was excellent and for what I wanted in a car it was just about perfect.

Yes it had dings. Mileage was well over 200K. THe radio didn't work. Shocks were blow out on all four corners. And a few other things to deal with. But the car cost me less then 8k and it ran amazing. It had a decently full set of documantation. The original window sticker and manuals and tools. And I liked the color(s).

I replaced the fuel pump and filter. I replaced the steering pump too. New springs and shocks and wheels and tires. And recently upgraded the sound system. Although it still needs a few minor things like a recently chipped and cracked windshield and a set of visor clips etc...

I have been enjoying this car in the most amazing way. Yes, the 500E does get a fair amount of attention from those in the "know". But it also gets a lot of attention on the road by the younger and more mature performance enthusiasts.

Anyway, here are some pics of this car that I am very much infatuated. From purchase to the recent weekend in Paso Robles, Ca with my lovely wife. The drive from San Francisco down highway 101 was an amazing pleasure. A drive filled with decadent power and bursts of high MPH. But 90 percent of the ride was on cruise control at a luxurious 73mph while achieving a decent "all around" 18.5mpg.

Enjoy!

My recent photos of my 500E at Paso Robles Wine Country. The shots were taken on the Friday evening and then Saturday morning to catch the sunrise at 06:45. It also happened to be the morning of my birthday. My 50th birthday. It was a beautiful sunrise!:beerchug:

Great pictures and great car! Thanks for posting them up. I, too, recently purchased a 500e and drove it all over CA wine country. I even posted some similar photos! Check out my owner thread.

Your car does look great. Good for you for doing the upgrades and repairs ... and enjoying it!

Floor mats.

Yeah, I could have gotten something at the dealership. But if you want super quality you get a set of CocoMats.

Custom made in the States. Super high quality. Takes two weeks minimum from order to fitting.

These are my second set. Had a set made for my 1970 280S. These make the interior come alive.
