I bought my self a new car.

It's a C140 6.0 SEC AMG -94 199 black metalick with cream leather interior. It's done 12xxxkm and it's from Japan. Apperently only 58 of these were ever made, and this is the only one in Scandinavia.

Here are some of the specs:

Engine: AMG buillt with FAS1, M120LH60. V12 6.0L (120980) AMG HWA- Kams, machined coils and shafts and AMG ecu,
440HK och 620NM AMG, reinforced gearbox,
AMG springs and dampers (HWA- Chassi)
Colour: 199 metallic black.
Toppspeed: V-max 300km/h
AMG exaustsystem, Katalyticconverters and resonator (HWA- System)

Exterior: AMG/HWA bodykit, (not sold with these) AMG 19" Softclose on doors and trunk, ABS brakes, ASR, ACC/airconditioning, Electric windows front and rear, Electric mirrior and Electric sunroof, Airbag driver & passanger, Electric frontseats memory on driverside, Cruisecontrol, BOSE soundsystem with CD-changer, remot-controlled centrallocking with alarm and Immobilizer, Electric stearingcollumn, Seatheaters front and more...

It's in good condition. It feels a little heavier then my 500E but has a bit more grunt, and the AMG suspention is way softer then the H&R cupkit I have on the 500E. There's also less noice in the cabin. The AMG exaust is not as loud as the one (not original) on the 500E. All in all a really nace car, and I like it alot.

You can find more pictures here: http://www.garaget.org/?car=366041

Hope you like it!

Re: Well, my first AMG had to be from the ninties!

Mikael, that is a beautiful car. Did you get any original books or manuals with it? If yes, please post pictures.

Re: Well, my first AMG had to be from the ninties!

Nice one Mike, and with a light coloured interior very uncommon in Japan. Did you buy it locally or bring it from Japan ? Can you post a picture of the AMG ID plate if it's still on the car? Here are some scans from the 1996 model brochure showing the big coupe...

Careful, dude ;-) Thousands of others have no problems, perhaps its at your end?

See post #27 here... some users have had trouble getting bounced out, often ends up being a browser/cookie issue:

http://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1571

I have this issue as well on my main home PC, but I have experienced it on no other of the several devices that I use, so I know it's an issue with some setting on that particular machine. I have simply learned to cut/paste/save it as another document, whatever for any large post I want to do. Working around the issue in that way is simply easier for me than going through my settings trying to figure out exactly what the issue is, but as I said I know the issue is on my machine, and not due to some fault in 500Eboard.

Those are some very interesting scans you have there. You also have scans of the 70 and 72? Would love to see and upload them.

No unfortunately I've never seen any Japanese brochure for the S70 / 72. The only ones I have are 1994 and 1996 issues for S500 6.0 and S600L 6.0, I think Dave might be posting them up on his site at some point.
